Hall of Fame Inductee Bob Bowen

Bob Bowen has dedicated 42 years of his life to the Auto Body industry.  From being a student himself working in the industry, to being an outstanding teacher and Department Chair of the Southeast Community College Auto-Collision Program, training approximately 1200 students.

In September 1952 this young man enrolled in the Auto Body program at the Nebraska State Trade School in Milford.  He graduated June 1954.  Over the next 9 years he gained experience as an Auto Body Technician and worked his way up to a management position.

In August 1963 he was asked to come back to Nebraska Vocational Technical School (SCC-Milford) as instructor.  He taught Auto Body basics until 1970.  He was then promoted to Program Chair of Auto-Collision and continued teaching basic welding, 4th quarter electrical and supervising and working with students on their lab projects (vehicles).

Many former students share their appreciation of Bob Bowen’s knowledge, commitment and teaching skills that helped them be successful in their Auto Body career.
