Jim Miller

Jim Miller is the owner/manager of Twin Rivers Body Shop, LLC in North Platte, Nebraska.  Jim grew up on a farm near Dodge, Nebraska and began his education at Olean until the school closed and students transferred to Dodge.   Jim has been involved in autobody repair for almost 35 years, beginning in high school with employment at Paint-N-Place.  Jim received his degree from Mid-Plains Community College in 1979 and worked in repair shops in Lincoln until returning to North Platte in 1981.  When Twin Rivers Body Shop was established in 1982, a major portion of Jim’s business was rebuilding salvage vehicles.  As his customer base increased, the business relocated to the present site in 1985. Through the years, additions to the building have included a new Refinish Shop, an office building with a customer courtesy counter, an enclosed Estimating Bay, a Rhino Linings spray bay, and new Refinishing Booths.  Jim’s focus towards quality collision repair procedures is supported by the utilization of office computerization and advances in repair and refinishing technologies.  Twin Rivers Body Shop, LLC employs 5 technicians, an office manager, and a business manager.

As a shop owner, Jim became active with the Nebraska Autobody Association in 1982 and credits this association for providing information and knowledge that has been extremely beneficial over the last 26 years.  Jim frequently attends the National Autobody Conference to network nationally, gain further education and understanding of business trends, as well as, observe and implement new technology.  All technicians from Twin Rivers attended NACE in 2007.

Jim’s wife, Sue assists in the family business.  They have four children:  Jessica is a law student in Indianapolis, John is pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering in Omaha, Jenna is a high school senior, and Jalee is a sophomore at St Patrick High School.

Promoting quality collision repair practices and procedures is important to Jim.  He has served as a member of the Advisory Board Council at North Platte Community College and has been a guest speaker at secondary schools.  Jim has completed and maintained Platinum Individual I-Car designation and is a certified PPG Refinish Technician.

Jim is currently a member of the Nebraska Autobody Board of Directors as an Area Representative and has previously served offices including Vice-President.  Jim is a member of the North Platte Cody Lions Club, Holy Spirit Parish, and the President of the West Central NE Soap Box Derby Association.
