Nebraska Legislative Session

Bill Tracker - Allows users to build profiles to more easily monitor groups of bills of interest to them. A free service is available for low-volume users, and a fee-based service with more advanced features is available for higher-volume users.

Calendar - Select a day on the calendar to see the activity for that day. Activity includes agenda, hearing schedule, introduced legislation, journal, and summary sheet.

Search Bills allows users to search for current bills and resolutions by bill number, keyword or words, and by the senator or committee that introduced them.

Search Transcripts allows users to search for current and past transcripts of floor debate and committee hearings.

Voting Records - Research how senators voted on particular issues.

Session Activity and Information

Agenda - The Agenda is the daily plan for legislative business.

Black Book Pages - Specially formatted printable pages with information about key events in a bill's life cycle.

Budget Status - Current projected revenue and budgeted expenditure totals for the current and upcoming biennium.

Committee Hearing Schedule - The committee hearing schedule is available at the end of each week during the legislative session.

Indexes of Legislative Bills & Constitutional Amendment (CA) Resolutions

Interim Study Resolutions - Concepts and ideas that the Legislature should investigate over the interim.

Legislative Journal - A record of official proceedings on the legislative floor. The Journal is prepared daily and is available online. Copies of the Journal are also available through the Bill Room, Room 1102, State Capitol, Lincoln, NE 68509, (402) 471-2609.

Priority Bills - Bills selected by senators, committees and the Speaker. These bills receive priority scheduling throughout the legislative process.

Rules of the Legislature The Rules of the Legislature govern the legislative process in order to ensure fair and efficient deliberations.

Session Calendar - Outlines when senators will meet to conduct business during the legislative session.

Summary Sheet - A description of bill and resolution activity that day. It is available the following morning.

Worksheet - A list showing the status of every bill and resolution at the beginning of each legislative day.
