Patricia Hancock is a proud native of Nebraska who was born in Norfolk in 1945. Patricia and her husband, Bob, established Bob’s Body Shop in Grand Island in 1969. During this time, Patricia also attended the University of Nebraska, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics with a minor in genetics, economics, and actuarial science. She went on to receive her Nebraska Teacher’s Certificate and a Master of Arts Teacher’s degree in 1971 and also worked as a math instructor, a graduate assistant for the UNL mathematics department, and taught junior high school algebra.
Through her support and involvement, Patricia was instrumental in establishing and strengthening the Nebraska Autobody Association. Patricia was elected NABA secretary during 1981-1983 and subsequently edited the NABA newsletter. In 1992, Patricia traveled to the USSR as a delegate of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists. She was also actively involved in organizing and co-chairing several successful NABA conventions. Patricia also served as contributing editor for Autobody News, taught management seminars for the collision industry, and administered the Nebraska Chapter of SCRS. Pat is a member of the National Association for Female Executives and received 3rd place in the Great Ideas competition sponsored by the National Leadership Conference.
Patricia was co-recipient of the Gold Class Recognition award from the Nebraska Autobody Association and the Special Recognition award in 2003 for her valued contributions to the collision repair industry.
The Nebraska Autobody Association is proud to recognize Patricia Hancock for her energetic participation in the collision repair industry. The industry, its colleagues, and allied members have benefited immensely from Patricia’s ongoing commitment and contributions.
