Bob began to develop an interest in the automotive field and decided to go to Northeast Tech. Working at a filling station in Norfolk and completing school led him to graduate at the age of 20.
He began his career working for Al Pfeifer in Madison, Nebraska. He then moved to Omaha and worked in the dealer arena for several years.
In 1980 he decided to start his own shop named "B" Street Auto Body. He experienced plenty of hard times in his small 4000 square foot facility. Bob was known for his great quality and complete restorations. As the years went on, Bob grew his business to a 12000 square foot facility that focused mainly on production and collision repair.
Growing up in a small Nebraska town of just a few hundred people, Bob learned the power of word of mouth advertising. He learnd that businesses live or die by how they treat people, especially when eveyone knows one another. He figured these small town lessons would serve well when he opened his business.
Bob was an active member in the NABA. Bob served as Treasurer for many years. He also helped co-chair two of the NABA conventions that were held in Omaha. Bob never missed a board meeting when he held the office of Treasurer and he also attended almost evert Omaha area Meeting.
Robert was a devoted husband and father of five children. He is truly missed by his family and his NABA friends.
